About Selby Engineering and Lifting Safety
Selby Engineering & Lifting Safety Ltd has been operating since 1994, becoming a private limited company in 1995. In the early years our aim was to provide a service to the local mining industry, where we quickly became recognised as one of the lifting equipment supply leaders. SELS Ltd grew quickly in size and experience and within three years we had ventured into other local industries, including paper, food and power production. Our growth continued and when the local mining industry declined and the Selby coalfield closed, we had already begun our diversification plan. We ventured further a field and became an internationally recognised lifting equipment supplier.
In 2005 after 10 years of successful business we decided to venture into height safety, this has proved to be an excellent managerial decision, as we now have experts in this field also and again can offer a quality product and service to suit any customer.
2005 also saw the launch of our original website, this connected us straight to the customer and thankfully also to all the international customers, thus launching our business into the export world. We now export worldwide on a daily basis and our website is constantly being updated to give our customer the very best information, prices, e-commerce purchasing site and service. Thus we have now become established as a global lifting and height safety supplier.
2007 saw the launch of our training service alongside our independent trainers, this has also proven to be hugely popular and we can offer many courses both lifting and height safety orientated, all training courses are delivered at the customers works for ease and comfort. All our trainers are insured and qualified to the highest standards.
We remain to this day a firm that has the interest or our employees and customers at heart, we endeavour to maintain a good relationship with our employees and in turn a good relationship with our customers, through this we provide a customer service second to none.
We continue to ensure that our staff are trained accordingly and are full members of The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association.
